LM Netters,

I just signed back on after being "away" for several months.  Don't know if
this has circulated yet since I'm just returning, but the June 12 issue of
U.S. News has a most interesting article on page 53... "Where have all the
librarians gone?  They've gone to dot coms, one by one."  States that there
is a compelling link between academic achievement and strong school
libraries.  Wonderful!  Points out that we're about to experience a
shortage of media specialists.  M. Ellen Jay (AASL) puts it well in the
article!  Be sure to read it... and, it's good to be home!
