We are pleased to announce the winners of the first Awesome WebSite
Awards (AWArds), an activity in which Web sites are evaluated by kids,
for kids.

of School Library Media Activities Monthly and Crinkles magazine.

We thank all those who participated and encourage all elementary library
media specialists and teachers to participate in the next AWArds
nominations, due by November 1. You can enter anytime until that date.

For a list of all AWArd winners and runners-up, complete information
about how to participate, the instrument for your students to use to
evaluate Web site, ideas for Web evaluation lessons, and an online
nomination form, visit the Educators' Section of the AWArds Web site at

And be sure to tell your students about the brand new Kids' Section at
the site, filled with fun activities that teach them important ideas
about Web evaluation.
