Gen,Sec: Online English related courses?

Hi,

     We are interested in any ideas for an 18 week
online English-related course that would interest 9-12
grades.  The course should have all resources
available on the web.  For example, a poetry course
that showed examples of poetry, how to write poetry,
different types of poetry, etc.  This information
would be available to students on the web.  No
textbooks needed.
The kids would be directed to certain websites to get
the information needed to complete assignments.

    What types of courses would interest 14-18
year-old students?  Any ideas?  TIA for any responses.
