Greetings, all! I have a parent ISO recommendations for her daughter's summer reading. Her child is finishing up the third grade, is identified gifted, and reads on a twelfth grade level. The parent stressed interest in content-appropriate books, given her daughter's age, and quality writing. The challenge seemed to be right up this group's alley! So far, she has enjoyed: Tuck Everlasting, Catherine Called Birdy, and Bridge to Terabithia. While these aren't RL 12, she likes them, and the content was along the lines of what the parent wants. I'll gladly post a hit. Thanks in advance!
