I received as many requests for a HIT as I did replies to my question, "Is it worth the effort and expense to move my placement folder from the placement office at my undergraduate school to the one at my graduate school?" One person stated that having her placement folder come from a well-known school played a role in getting her first job. Two others also moved their folders for the prestige factor, although one has already had two interviews without sending her folder at all. The final suggestion was that the contents will reflect where you went to school no matter what, and the decision should be made based on which office is most helpful/convenient. An interesting point that I hadn't considered before. This person had six interviews and four job offers even though she kept her folder at her undergrad school.
