I hope enough of you are still reading LM_NET so I can get some ideas on this. Our computer teacher position is more of a teacher aide position as far as pay. This last year it was covered by one of our subs who stepped in with very little computer experience and did an admirable job, considering how little she knew about computers. I have asked to be on the interview committee. My principal thinks that the most important experience for a candidate to have is teaching ability (as she/he will be one of the teacher prep coverage teachers). I understand her point, but am hoping to find someone who has significant computer potential, if not a fair amount of computer experience. We are getting to a point where teachers would be incorporating internet resources in lessons if there were a way for the kids to get on the internet. The lab now has internet access, so I have a picture of my working with the teachers, putting the appropriate web sites up on our school site, and then the computer teacher completing the net part when the class is in the lab. What questions would be good to ask a candidate? Any other thoughts on this? Many thanks! Johanna --------------------- Johanna Halbeisen Woodland Elementary School (preK-4) 80 Powder Mill Rd.
