Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

Just to let you know about some of the recent messages posted to our
announcements and supporters' forum, EL-Announce, which allows us to
better operate LM_NET as a free service to you. PLease support these and
other LM_NET supporters when you are able.


Libraries Unlimited announced a number of new titles that will be on
20% discount during the ALA Conference. Titles were in the following
areas: Biographical Research Tools, Information Literacy Skills Guides,
Literature Activity Books, Professional Guides, Readers' Advisory,
Storytelling Resources, Reference & Research Books, Working with
Technology.

MediaPath Sales & Services "I hate CDs Because Contest" ended over a month
ago, and a special award has been issued in the contest, as well as
additional information about the MediaPath product line, featuring a
software-only solution for networking CD-ROMs that makes CD towers and
changers obsolete.

Linworth Publishing is offering a 20% discount on titles in several areas,
including: keynote Jamie McKenzie's books, and all other titles by the
publisher, as well as a complimentary copy of THE BOOK REPORT: The
Magazine for Secondary School Library Media and Technology Specialists and
LIBRARY TALK: The Magazine for Elementary School Library Media and
Technology Specialists.

EL-ANNOUNCE, (Education and Library Announcements) is a listserver which
allows vendors and organizations to regularly send school librarians and
other technology using educators announcements of new products, services,
or opportunties specificially suited the the education and library
fields.

EL-ANNOUNCE is a moderated, _read-only_ list. This is a one-way,
"announcements only" list only--there will be no discussion. Of course,
EL-ANNOUNCE subscribers are able to reply directly to a specific vendor to
obtain additional information.

Please note that:

   (1) Postings are limited to one message per participating vendor per
week.  The list is moderated to ensure compliance and to see that messages
are relevant to library and education interests.

   (2) Messages will be archived for 6 months. Their location is:
