Dear 'Netters: One of my 4th grade teachers is looking for a book which can be used for a novel study with her class of very high-reading level kids (they're reading at a 6th grade level). The protagonist needs to be an Asian or Asian-American female. Oh, and by the way <grin>, it needs to be readily available, so we can buy enough copies for everyone! I've already given her In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson, which she says is too easy for them, and Child of the Owl is a possibility. Can anyone out there can think of any others that would be appropriate? Thanks so much!
