Hi colleagues!--I just found a nifty new website that deals with world population. In an effort to show what the earth's population is, they are collecting stick figure drawings, and will display them all together, showing the enormity of numbers like 6 billion. Viewers can click on information about world population, about this project, then draw and submit a stick figure to the gallery. They can even view "recent submissions" and see their own picture among others. I had the kids who were in for detention at noon (yes, in the Library) try it out and they loved it...will test it next on my seventh grade geography class (we're studying India right now...how Excellent for 7th grade last period on Friday....) http://www.youdraw.com Best, Nancy Nancy Schiffer K-12 Library, Kaycee, Wyoming nancy@khs.jcsd1.k12.wy.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
