Elem: costume for alphabet parade

Hello to all!
I need some creative input. I have been invited to be in the Kindergarten
Alphabet Parade to represent the letter "L". The obvious choice is to be a
librarian, but I'd like to use a little more creativity than just going as I
am. I'd appreciate any ideas you could share to help make this costume a
little more interesting (I'm thinking of how to incorporate books, book marks
etc. a hat possibly???)
