We do a lot of looking up addresses for school secretaries, wanting to get
student files from their previous schools.

One of the sources we use is
the National Public School Locator at this address:

http://nces.ed.gov/ccdweb/school/listSchools.asp

Unfortunately the database doesn't appear to have been updated since
1997-1998, but it is still useful.
