I think one thing we all need to monitor is what it will mean to own an "e
book."  In today's software climate I imagine that we will only be able to
lease it or have it for so many readings and then it will self-destruct.  I
am quite sure that if the free public library hadn't already been invented
it would be against the copyright laws.  After all we are depriving
copyright holders of lots of revenue by letting different people borrow the
materials with no additional return to the author.  :)
