Hello everyone, The chapter - "The Tesseract" ... The term - "tesser" ... The question . . . what the hell is it? Is "tesser" the verb form of the noun "tesseract?" I love the science-fiction genre ... but I am a very superficial fan and have no idea how hyper-drive or warp-drive engines work ... let alone the time-warping concept ... geez, I have a hard enough time setting the clock in the truck from daylight savings to standard time . . . sheesh . . .! 8-) Anyone care to give us a little help trying to understand this concept enough to explain to students? Primarily, this tesser and tesseract thing ... is it like "grok?" 8-) Aloha y'all ... Earl J. "Just an old Maui boy with a poor sense of direction ...
