We are middle school but; I think the library is used less, if a science teacher wants to bring all her classes it takes 2 days, to get them in, if she has 2 blocks per day then I have 2 free blocks [we have 4 blocks a day]. It is hard to schedule the 6th grade classes to come every other week b/c it takes four days to get them all in, that leaves only 6 days for every one else. So I have the two 6th grade teams come for 45 min each, rather than 90, that only takes 2 days and leaves 8 for the other grades, electives. One of our blocks is peer/lunch and reading, that is a problem b/c all 8 seventh grade teachers have reading at the same time, it would take 8 days to get them all in and that knocks out the other grades. I have more time to do my work, that part is good Sandy in Florida Media Specialist, Mulberry Middle School http://schools.polk.net/mms I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone - Bill Cosby On Tue, 2 May 2000, ghough wrote: > This is a multi-part message in MIME format. > --------------5D9B20DDC0C0C01F8A82689D > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; x-mac-type="54455854"; >x-mac-creator="4D4F5353" > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > > I would appreciate any information you could share about changes in > library programs that were necessitated when your high school switched > to block scheduling.
