LM_NET: Library Media Networking

Well, for one thing, not every district funds the library from the district
office. Most of the schools I'm aware of in the Puget Sound are funded
through the building budget. The only local model I have to compare this to
is our custodians, who are not supervised at the building level but by a
central administrator. The day crew is wonderful and does a great job. The
night crew spends much of their time surfing the 'net. (When we installed a
filter, the district discovered that most of the porn site hits were
occurring after 4 pm....)

Bottom line is that this could be very divisive and further isolate LMS's,
making collaboration with teachers more difficult. I already feel pretty
alone. I don't want to put more distance and walls between me and my
colleagues.

So, my 2 cents early in the morning,
Julie
