Breathing Life Into The AV Section?

While it has been in my thoughts for the past few years, it seems to have
really become a point for me to work on for next year...  How can I breathe
new life into my AV section (kits, etc.)?  At my school it seems that if it
is not in video format...it's not worthy to use.  Considering the price of
some videos AND the quality, as well as the availability...it will be quite
some time before we would ever be able to change over to videotape format.
While doing inventory today of the AV section I was amazed at the amount of
dust that had accumlated...and the fact that if it wasn't video...there was
no fingerprints in the dust!

So, I decided to look to the Georgia Media and LM_NET colleagues to work on
this  project this summer...and come up with ideas to breath new life into
the collection.  I'm sure I am not the only person with this problem.
Thought we could generate some ideas and try them out when school starts
back.  Some ideas that popped into my mind today was to mention various AV
items during faculty meetings and tell the topic(s) they cover.  Have an AV
party during pre-planning where those who come by and partake in the goodies
must first go through the AV room and list three AV (non-video) items they
could use.

I'll post a hit when we've come up with some other ideas.
