Help!

My curriculum director has been given the task to provide technology to 2
non-public schools (both are religious schools - not charter schools) as
part of a legal share program. It is for financial reasons and PR for bond
issues.

I told him, as we went through the class sections of the media specialists
(we provide planning time for teachers) that we need more time to actually
run the library facility and the computer lab than the "planning time"
allotted a classroom teacher. I also reminded him that the elementary
teachers are the ONLY *specialists* in our district, who teach not one, but
two full curriculums.

He said he understood. Then he asked "How long would you need, in addition
to the regular planning time, to run the library?"

Since we do it on the run, I told him that I would get him the answer this
week.

How long does it take to run a facility? Geez. It is different for each of
us, as some of us do so many extras for the school (do morning
announcements, run AR, write weekly newsletters and it goes on)

So my question to you is: Would you please tell me the size of library
collection; whether you have a full time aide (We do! Thank God); and how
long you think would be a reasonable amount of time to do everything we do
to "run" the library.

I think if I can say "We need 2 hours per day (in addition to the "planning
time", to run our facility efficiently" that he might give us less sections
at the non-public schools.

Keep your fingers crossed.

TIA
