I agree with Gordon.

I don't always agree with everything Jeff K says, and I don't agree with
everything he wrote in his post about weapons.  But he certainly has the
right to his opinions, and IMHO, this discussion is certainly within LM-NET
scope.

I am not only the school librarian, I am on the safety committee.  When a
bomb threat is phoned in, _I_ am one of the volunteers who searches lockers
and closets. Twice this year -- and it raised important, personal issues
that I would appreciate being able to  share here.

I'm taking my time to respond to Jeff's post -- another day or so. Jeff:
keep the opinions coming!

The opinions I express here are my own.  Thanks, everybody.
