Tech:Microsoft Word error?

Hi,
I was hoping that someone could help me.
I am using Microsoft Word on an iMac. Today everytime I try and use one of my MM 
files this is what I get:
      The application Microsoft Word has unexpectedly quit, because of an error of 
type 3 occurred.
 Sometimes It even had me restart the computer.
