Dear colleagues:
I am a first year assistant librarian in a high school (although I have
taught high school English and theater arts for over ten years) and I am
completing the last half of my MLIS.

I am currently working on an issue paper about collaboration between
media specialists and classroom teachers. I have read a great deal in the
LM_NET archives about good techniques for fostering collaboration and about
positive collaborative experiences. I have also located a great deal of
similar information in various journals. However, my interest also extends
to less positive aspects of collaboration or teachers' unwillingness to
collaborate. Specifically, I would like to know about what percentage of
secondary teachers use your library regularly and of those about what
percentages do you collaborate with a great deal, a moderate amount, and not
at all. Finally, I am interested in some anecdotal examples of negative
experiences.

I don't want to bring this generally upbeat group down, so if you would
respond to me directly instead of to the list that would spare our fellows
the negativity.

Thank you in advance for any and all help you can provide.
