My school uses Winnebago Circ/Cat for the Mac and we have recently upgraded our machines to iMacs running system 9.04. I am having a recurring problem with my first transaction of the day--I get a -108 out of memory heap error. I usually have to force quit the program and reopen it and then it works fine for the rest of the day. I have added more memory (now 128MG) but the error persists. I have called Winnebago numerous times and have made all their suggested changes (virtual memory off; increased the memory in the program to 10,000 K; disabled energy saver; adjusted TCP so that it doesn't disconnect from the server). I suspect that this is a System 9 problem, since we have run Winnebago without problem for about four years now. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there perhaps a patch from Apple to remedy the situation? Many thanks in advance!
