LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Several weeks ago, I posted a hit from my initial request for any 3-year
plans you may have. Since then, I have received one additional reply:
"I don't have a three year plan to offer, but am interested in any dialogue
concerning long-range LMC planning. I am in my second year, and have been
trying to rough out something similar. My first inclination also happened to
be three years, and focuses on collection development and weeding. In
nonfiction, I plan to weed/develop 1-400 one year, 5-600 the next, and 7-900
the third. Obviously collection development encompassses E and Fic as well,
but I don't have well thought out strategies for them (and haven't seriously
looked at weeding criteria for them). I have other ideas concerning
timelines for increased integration, materials development, etc. but haven't
put them down in an organized format yet."
