Hi, I am new to a K-5 school with a tiny budget and a collection that needs a lot of work. Luckily, I have a very supportive parent group, who want to help our collection grow. Our city is home to many businesses, including a lot of technology corporations, and our PTO is giving us $50 for postage and stationary to send letters to these companies, requesting donations for books. I am hoping someone out there has done this before and has a sample letter that we could borrow, rather than reinvent the wheel. Also, if you have been through this process, do you have suggestions/tips, things you would do differently if you could do it again? Many thanks in advance.
