Good morning, Netters, I've got a dilemma. A year ago, when we started putting 526 tags into our MARC records, I learned that we should use this format for the a subfield (Name of study program): Accelerated Reader AR This allows keyword searches using the full name as well as the abbreviation AR. It also is useable with Follett's AR search option in version 4.1. We are now seeing 526 tags coming from jobbers that look like this: Accelerated Reader/Advantage Learning Systems When did it change? Are both correct or only one? This way precludes keyword searching on AR, which many of my students have learned.... Any words of widsom will be much appreciated! Thanks, Julie Julie Anderson, Librarian Liberty High School, a National Blue Ribbon School Renton, WA (425) 837-4901 andersonj@issaquah.wednet.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
