It's possible your computers won't be able to do anything whatsoever with the video, unless the videos recorded in a digital format the computers can read. I'm not familiar with the Mavica per se, but I had a camera at my old school which took video clips up to 15 seconds. The problem was that I could copy the clips to a VHS tape through the S-video cable, but if I exported them to the computer, they exported as a panel of individual still frames. To recreate a video effect, I had to painstakingly cut each frame into a separate file, then create a GIF animation-- a process which took about 3 hours and required two high-end graphics programs and considerable patience to complete. Ask the salesperson if the camera can export *MPEG video*. I believe that is a standard digital video format. If he doesn't know, ask for a copy of whatever pages describe how to download video, and post that here.
