TAR: HS Senior graduation projects

Dear All,
   How many of you have special project requirements for graduation?  We
instituted a Senior Project about 6 years ago and we are very proud of it.
It is very structured and demands at least 60 hours of work, a process
paper, a journal and a formal presentation in April before an evaluating
panel and AN AUDIENCE!  Those not meeting deadlines and requirements must
present at a later time, but it is a graduation requirement.
   Our School Board would like to take a look at this process.....we are
not sure why, since it is viewed as a GOOD THING.  One of the things they
are wondering is WHO ELSE does this?
   I would appreciate just a quick note if your school has such a requirement.
