Today I: (in addition to checking out books)
Negotiated (again) the payment of an invoice from last fall that was
misdirected;
Reviewed backorders from a book jobber for renewal or cancelation;
taught 5th graders how to use Grolier's New Book of popular Science online
to outwit the science teacher;
reminded the Chemistry teacher about the databases we have for his kids'
outside readings;
ordered books based on reviews in 6 different journals;
met with the 6th grade science teacher about collaborating on her upcoming
unit;
arranged for a free trial of a newspaper database;
Wrote thank you notes to donors;
Discussed strategies for meeting with the computer dept. for our next
professional day;
 . . . it's only 2:30--I've got 2 hours left . . .
