I have a student in fifth grade that ask every time she comes to the library, "where are the scary books." I've recommended titles, authors that write "scary" books, series, etc. The real problem is that she is reading on about a second grade level and is in fifth grade. She doesn't want her peers to know she can't read on their level. She also said that see wants a book with lots of pictures. She spends a very long time in the library each visit because she can't find what she's looking for. If it's out there, I'll try to purchase it. Any suggestions? They will be appreciated.
