SHARE: recipe/Cheesy Potatoes

Greetings.  This recipe thread has made me so happy.  I must have 75
"community cookbooks" which I never cook from, but love to read.  They are
fascinating.
My Thursday morning Library Volunteer has raved about this for years.

        Cheesy Potatoes

Brown together in a big frying pan:

    1 package Oreida hash brown potatoes (best with cube-style)
    1 stick margarine
    1 medium onion(chopped)

Mix in, one at a time:

    1  8 oz. sour cream
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    between 1  and 1 1/2  cups cheddar cheese
        (mix in most of the cheese, sprinkle the rest on top)

Pour into a 9 X 12 baking dish and cook for 30-40 minutes at 350.

(One neat thing about this is that you can put it all together the day before
you need it, and then cook it about an hour before your meal.)
