GEN: Foster care title suggestions

Colleagues-

My husband and I are new foster parents, and I am eager to share an
annotated booklist of books dealing with foster care and adoption (all
age levels) with our local foster parents' association.  We have several
appropriate titles in our high school library (Dave Pelzer's series,
Finding Fish, They Cage the Animals at Night).  These are for very
mature readers (or adults), and I am very out of touch with titles for
younger readers.  If you could share any titles (and even an annotation
if you have the time!), it would be greatly appreciated!
