C.D. McLean's humorous post about mangled book titles reminds me of one of = the funniest (or saddest) examples I encountered in my public library = days: A teenage girl at the distant online catalog was becoming more and more = exasperated. She finally walked over to a librarian and asked for the = spelling of "tequila," which the librarian provided. Yet after several = more minutes of searching the catalog, the girl seemed more frustrated = than ever. The librarian walked over to calm her down and assist with the search. = Imagine her surprise when she learned that the girl had been trying to do = a title search for "Tequila Mockingbird." Poor kid... I guess that's what she thought she heard when the teacher = gave the reading assignment. What would they do without us???!!!! :) Bill McLoughlin Library Media Specialist, Brookside School Worthington, Ohio wmcloughlin@worthington.k12.oh.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
