I can't offer you a specific video but in the past I have done a unit of
work about climbing Mt Everest with a group of Year 6 kids, focusing on the
first climb in 1953 (almost 50 years ago) of Sir Edmund Hillary and Norgay
Tensing  New Zealanders , like me, have a special affinity to this because
Hillary is a Kiwi too.

But one of the aspects I draw out is that while Everest is seen as the
ultimate peak of mountain climbers physically, each and every one of us has
our own mental Mt Everest.  So I get the kids to think of the toughest
battle they are facing at the time or a dream they wish to achieve and then
using an analogy of a climb to Everest with planning, support, strategies,
first base camp and so forth, each works out a way to conquer their Everest.

Many have overcome some big personal obstacles this way, others have gone on
to be the firemen or the doctor or whatever.  Others have used the strategy
on later occasions, and I often hear from kids who just say "I've climbed
Everest again" and we both know something very special has occurred.  I used
it myself after my car accident in 1996 and hopefully, next year when I
return to full-time work AND MANAGE it well, I will also be on the peak of
my Everest.

Now, if I could just balance the budget, then I would have climbed it twice
:>}
