LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Wow - everyone who has this title has a different job description and I will
compile a hit later on showing the many hats you wear.
I am looking at initiating a position where I create a cluster webpage (for
the private and public schools and the middle and high schools in our little
area). This would have a link to the school's own website with the
information pertaining to that school but it would provide common stuff too
such as hotlists of common topics that are studied in each school (like
dinosaurs for instance). Or if the t/l of the school said "we are studying
the gold rush" , I would either find or create an online activity such as a
webquest to support it. Or if several classes over the school were all
involved in a similar thing I could set up a chat room so that they could
collaborate.
I would not take any responsibility for the admin or collection development
of the individual libraries - just the online support stuff.
Does anyone do this? If you do, could you tell me a bit more about it? Do
you have a page that I might look at? Appreciate anything you can offer.
