Am I confused? I am interested in your response. Way back in Library School (it was called that in the old days) we were told that the difference between poems, plays, folk tales, fairy tales AND fiction was that the first group was literature and classified as non-fiction. Fiction on the other hand was considered recreational and so it had it's own classification and separate location in public libraries. I guess it is easier to find and there are usually large numbers of fiction books. I will say that I have been in college libraries where fiction books were classified by a Dewey number. I think it was 813 but I'm not sure. As I say, it was over 30 years ago. Jo ******************************************************** Josephine G.
