Peggy Sharp devised a book selection method called "CAN IT BE FOR ME." which
could be very useful for your purpose. She described it in an article she
wrote called "I Need a Good Book . . . FAST!" which appeared in the April
1992 edition of School Library Media Activities Monthly. (Peggy Sharp also
wrote several books on library activities in which this idea also may appear;
I know she describes it workshops that she teaches).  If you do not have
access to this periodical from where you are, perhaps you could post a
request to the list and someone could fax it to you (I don't have access to a
fax machine from where I am!).
