I have funds to buy 5 new computers to replace my Pentium 75s (or perhaps to buy a couple more, depending on price of each computer). They should be PCs, not MACS. These computers would be on our LAN but the programs will be loaded on the computer, not the server. However, all the student files/documents will be saved to the server. I think we don't need anything very fancy, or expensive. The students use the computers for word processing and for accessing the Internet, and, once in a while, for Excel and Power Point. (We are now running Office 97 on them). I need a hard drive that will hold Office, versions of IE and Netscape, a couple of other programs, and give us some "growing space." I would like to know what you think are the minimum specifications for these computers. If you have something you have just bought, or are planning to buy, and can give us the name of the company and model, that would be great, too.
