I requested ideas for using language translation sites via the web. We ha=
ve
students who know about these sites and use them. I was looking for
legitimate educational ideas for utilizing the sites. My objective is to
show the teachers that the sites exist and that students use them, and to=

find ways to use them as legitimate learning tools.

Unfortunately, the only two responses asked for a hit.

So I am reposting our original brainstormed list. We haven't done any of
these as yet and would be interested if another school does.

Assign everyone to use the same site with the same text to see if the sit=
 e
(or more than one site) give the same translation.
Do a translation in class using the site, then show the common errors.
Do a translation then make an assignment to correct all errors.
Do a translation then require a "rewording" so that is still says the sa=
me
 thing.
