Hello! Our district Tech specialist recently received an ad from a filtering company stating that congress has passed the Childrens' Internet Protection Act. After doing some investigating it appears that claim is true. It looks like the act was passed and became PL 106-554. As far as I can tell, the act was "tacked on" to the appropriations bills. I am not certain about all of this though. Does anyone have more accurate information? I have looked in Thomas and ALA but haven't seen much. Any help would be super. TIA! -- Margarette E.
