Back in December Steven Hofmann from ALA sent in a message about the
passage of this bill in the House of Representatives with a 292 to 60
vote. Everything that I have read seems to indicate that the bill will
be challenged in court by the ACLU and other civil liberties groups.
Historically most challenges have been successful. However the
implementation of this law should be many months away while legal
challenges are tried.
