This information may be useful to those using AOL 6.0 and having the html problem. Seems that AOL 6.0 sends a multipart MIME message with both Rich Text Formatting (RTF) and HTML sections. If you follow #1, you will avoid having any RTF in your message, and if you post from the address in #2, your message will be in plain text by default. This information was passed on in another list from a member who kept badgering AOL for a solution and wouldn't take 'that's the way it is' for an answer. A librarian <grin>. Hope this helps. Dan Robinson HW Wilson Company Bronx, NY drobinson@hwwilson.com From fairly deep in AOL tech support: TO SEND PLAIN TEXT ONLY E-MAIL, PLEASE REFER TO THE INFORMATION BELOW: 1. When authoring e-mail in AOL version 6.0, remove all formatting from the message body and send the message in the AOL 6.0 default of Arial, size 10 and do not include any bold/italics/underline, colors, or other styles. 2. Use AOL Mail on the Web located at the site below: http://www.aol.com You can send e-mail from AOL Mail on the Web to Internet addresses that reject formatting because AOL Mail on the Web sends mail as plain text only. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
