I have conducted research during the past two/three years regarding the
use of the electronic interactive whiteboard in instruction. The most
recent part of my work resulted in a dissertation, and an earlier part
involved a survey of whiteboard users regarding their satisfaction with
the boards and various ways of using them. In an effort to update my
survey results for a conference presentation, I would be most grateful
for brief responses from board users to any or all of the following
questions. Thanks very much for your responses, and I promise to post a
hit!

1. What brand and model of board do you use?

2. What level students do you instruct?

3. What percentage of board use is for demonstrations, where the teacher
is at the board? How effective do you think the board is in this
context?

4. What percentage of board use involves students at the board and/or
computer, actively involved in its use? How effective do you think the
board is in this context?

5. What features of the board to you find particularly valuable?

6. What problems/drawbacks are associated with board use?

7. What is your overall opinion of the board's value as an instructional
tool?

8. Do you think, in view of the cost of necessary equipment, it is a
wise acquisition…would you recommend that others make it a priority
purchase?

9. Please add any additional comments, teaching tips, etc. which might
be useful to fellow users or potential users..

Thanks again very much!--Mary Ann
