I have been lurking for several months and this is my first question. Although you folks have answered hundreds of questions I didn't even know I had yet! Thanks for the help to a new media coordinator! My fourth grade teachers would like me to plan one or more lessons on the last lines of books and relate it to the student's writing. We did one a few weeks ago after the first lines thread on LM-Net that was very effective. One teacher says that her students all want to end their stories with "I went to bed and went to sleep." Since writing is tested in 4th graders in NC, we want to encourage them to try other endings and give examples of good ones. Any ideas? I will be glad to post a hit if there is interest. Thanks in andvance.
