Our Math teachers would like some information on how other High Schools in NY state are implementing the Math A curriculum. Since the students have to take the Regents after three semesters of the course, we are in need of information on how schools are handling kids who are slow at math and need extra time. Specifically: Are all students placed in heteroeneous classes, or are some students placed in a special group and allowed to work on the subject matter at a slower rate? The state merely requires that students pass the exam to graduate, not that they pass it after 3 semesters. Some information would help our Math committee with their decisions.
