For those of you that may not have heard, yesterday, one of Canada's most beloved and talented writers, Mordecai Richler, died. He was the author of many wonderful novels such as St. Urbain's Horseman, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, and Barney's Version. He also wrote the children's series, Jacob Two Two. The Canadian writing and reading community mourn the loss of such an important member of our cultural mosaic. If you are looking for some summer reading and haven't read Mordecai Richler, I urge you give him a try.
