Hi everyone, Does anyone know where I can lay my hands on an essay about the Wizard of Oz? I remember it was in an American History college text I had about 10-12 years ago. I have no idea who wrote it. But the author wrote about how the Wizard of Oz was actually full of symbolism about the political and societal climate in the US at the time. One example I remember is the yellow brick road being symbolic of the argument for the gold standard. Has anyone ever seen this essay? Can anyone give me a lead on how I might find it?
