Hi, All!
I'm teaching a children's literature class this summer at Montclair State in
NJ, and one of my students has this problem: Her elementary school has been
named a bilingual school, and she cannot purchase any books in English for
the library unless she also purchases a Spanish translation. (Sounds crazy
to me, but there you are.) Does anyone know of sources for current
children's literature in Spanish. (For instance, she would like to purchase
"John Henry" illustrated by Jerry Pinkney but may not buy it unless she can
find the same book in Spanish.)
I've searched the archives and found Follett, Permabound, Baker & Taylor,
www.bilingualbooks.com and www.lectorum.com listed as possible sources of
Spanish language books. Any thoughts on these or others?
Thanks!
