Thanks to Mary Jo and Marge for sharing this website with me. It gives some real basic info and covers from the 60's through the 90's. 1960s and others http://www.1960sflashback.com/1960/Economy.asp Several others suggested: visiting my local library (I was looking for something EASY!) and checking in old newspapers; a book called The Value of a Dollar (which my local comrade Jean Gustafson so graciously let me borrow); And several others suggested the dmarie site...make sure you use the 'quick' page, not the 'advanced', to get prices: http://dmarie.com/timecap As has been mentioned many times, LM_NET is a GREAT RESOURCE!
