LM_NET: Library Media Networking

Our tech trainer recommended that librarians create a Microsoft Word
document with all the websites we wanted to recommend to teacher. In a
word document, you can create alphabetical subject headings/categories,
etc., with the websites typed in and they are "clickable".

I save that document onto several diskettes, and when a teacher needs
recommended sites, I just hand her/him a diskette and ask them to take a
look and see what they can use. If the teacher is using an Internet
computer, they can click back and forth from the document straight to
the sites.

LM_NET has been a treasure-trove for this! Whenever sites are
recommended in areas that I know my teachers ask for, or that I think
might be useful in the future, I simply add them to the document as a
"recommended site". Not only do I include curriculum areas, but also
lesson plans, maps & directions, etc.
