I am looking for titles of novels on about a third grade reading level set
in New York City, preferably in modern times. I found Junebug by Alice Mead
(which is actually set in New Haven, CT, though it gives a flavor of city
life) but my teachers felt it was too focused on the negative aspects of
city life. Do you have any suggestions of other books? If there's
interest, I'll post a hit.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to share.
