LM_NET: Library Media Networking

This is an interesting problem that I deal with regularly.  When making my
purchasing decisions for next year I really tried to involve the faculty,
but many were quite sure the Internet had what they needed.  Some were,
however taken by my argument that, in the tradition of academic
publishing, the best stuff is NOT free.  You pay for reference books, you
pay for Galenet.  Admittedly there is some great stuff on the Web, but if
you spent 5 years of your life researching, developing, and writing, would
you give it away?
